Mayhem: Missoni for Target

pop-up missoni for target store in midtown on FNO. the line was THE entire block on 42nd from 6th to 7th and around the corner down 7th INSANE!

I can't believeeeeeeeee the drama of Missoni for Target. I understand EVERYONE and their Mom, Dad, Aunt, Uncle, Cousin, Grandma, Dog and Cat wanted in on this HIGHLY anticipated collection...but DANG!

The website crashed in the early hours. I logged on around 3PM finally getting some things in my shopping cart: 4 towels, 2 hand towels, a bath rug, 3 sweaters and a dress. By the time I went to check out I had lost a sweater and dress in cyber space. (Above is what I scored.) Following my purchases were numerous emails about my order being delayed and unfulfilled. I finally received an email two days after placing my order regarding shipping confirmation for the towels and rug. Wahoo! And the next day the two sweaters were also en route.

I completely understand supply and demand, but after the hype and the long summer of advertising one would think Target was fully prepared for this mayhem.

On another note, Missoni, an Italian fashion house which has stayed in the family for the last 50+ years, had many disgusted the brand even did a collaboration with Target. However, not all of us can afford such luxury and I think it is great they reached out to the masses. The collection is unreal and I look forward to seeing what I purchased in the flesh!
