Wedding Weekend in Cleveland and Color Crush

I am so excited to celebrate this weekend the Boham/Urmston wedding. I leave today to trek out to Cleveland and have packed the essentials.

It is going to be a great reunion and celebration and I am so excited! I wanted to get a new dress for the wedding, but I ended up choosing a Cynthia Vincent dress I bought last year for my birthday and a fabulous pair of Charles David wedges. Paired, its the perfect outfit.

Congrats to Liz! I can't wait to celebrate my first Sorority Sister's wedding!! xo

A redesign!

I am literally THRILLED with my blog redesign. It was MUCH needed and to put it frankly, I am extremely untalented when it comes to HTML coding.

I was so excited to ask Kelly of Fabulous K Creative to help me with my redesign. I knew exactly what I wanted and she produced!

I wanted to keep the design clean and simple. I know it will carry me into the years of blogging and as my blog evolves.

Even after you find your wedding dress...the dress shopping doesn’t end there. I am on the hunt to help MEQ pick out a few dresses. What do you think about wearing white for your rehearsal dinner? I love these little pouches! I first saw them featured in Harper's August 2011 issue and have been seeing them pop all over ever since. They are the perfect little leather accessory. I want one for the nights of going out with just my small cross body bag to stick some cash, my ID and credit card in. What look is your favorite? ooolalatte: 100 and sale update

SO excited I made it to 100 posts! Go me. (Patting myself on the back!) When you decide to blog it is a real commitment and you have to stick with it. I have my "bad" weeks where I get side tracked with life. But that is OK. You got to keep living. You do your blog for you, to be creative and to meet a whole new community of friends. It's been great and I can't wait to continue with my little fashion blog.

Wedding Wednesday: the Long Tablescape

There is so much detail when putting together a wedding. I understand now why you could really write your entire blog just about weddings.

A few weeks ago I was talking to MEQ about what her reception hall was like, how she was going to set up the tables, what we were having for dinner (lets be serious, I love food) and all the other details you have to work out for the after the ceremony production.

Well little did I know you can't really make too many decisions about the set up and dinner until you get an exact count of RSVP’s. So thus she still has a lot of decisions to make when it comes to the reception, but when I was looking at tablescapes I fell in love with the super duper long ones and wanting mine to be outdoors. Now this may not be for MEQ, but I kept her wedding color scheme in mind, so maybe she will see a few ideas!

Color of the Week: Mint Candy Apple

I have loved this color for two summers now. A little lighter then the coveted Chanel Jade; it just makes me happy. It is such a fresh, unique color for the summer. I want it for my next mani/pedi. It's on my "to do" list for the week. It was a limited color and is tough to find at most salons...might have to buy a bottle on ebay.

PS. I am still in recover mode from the USA loss yesterday. :(

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale kicks off tomorrow!! Next season on sale now. All brand new fall merchandise on sale. When the sale ends, merchandise goes back up to full price. I want so many things and this is just from the short catelog they released a few weeks ago. Tomorrow it will all be online, so you know what I will be doing first thing tomorrow morning. Nordstrom when will you be in NYC!?!

Wedding Wednesday: Hair

Up do, or up don't?

I never really thought about hair until asking MEQ what she was planning to do with hers. Not only does she have to decide, but all of us bridesmaids have a decision to make too. After a little research it really comes down to preference. Everyone's style differs, especially because everyone has different hair types. For MEQ and me wearing our hair up is 2nd nature because of the years we played soccer. However, here are some super cute alternatives to the basic ponytail, which we rocked far too often at Roy Rike. I do know I want something on the side. Q no bald spots on your wedding day, okay?

Christmas in July

My issue of Harper’s arrived yesterday and I can’t believe it’s already the Fall Fashion Preview! I love fall clothes, but my mind is still in summer and there are still so many things I want that I haven’t been able to scratch off my summer wish list quite yet.

But readers be prepared because this issue is full of things I’m already ready to add to my Christmas wish list. Ann Hathaway looks breathtaking in the issue, as she always does, and Julia Von Boehm did a flawless job styling her for the shoot. Her bangs look fantastic and make a part of me want to cut mine again, of course after this humid summer season.

Summer so far has been busy, beautiful and full of all my best friends. The month of July has been tough to blog, but I have been doing my best to keep up with all of you who have been so good about it. So far here are five of my favorite summer bloggers, so make sure you check them out:

Life got in the way, which is totally ok by me, but I am getting back up on the horse and really going to start focusing this week on getting it together. I am super excited to let you all know I have officially began the process of redesigning my page and can’t wait till it all comes together! I’ll keep you posted on all the design details as the process continues!

I have been eyeing aviators all summer, but have recently turned to Karen Walker for a pair of sunnies I want now. Her styles are so cool and are something different from my Wayferers I wear 24/7. You can see them on Cheetah is the New Black. Her sunnies got me addicted.

Wedding Wednesday: Bridesmaid Jewelry

MEQ picked out her bridesmaid dresses which are a simple, strapless and the perfect champagne color. In order to jazz mine up I want a fun, but not too loud necklace. A simple ring and pair of studs to pair with a necklace that I think will add a little flavor to the dress.
