If you haven't discovered pinterest....get on it. It's an amazing resource for inspiration, creativity and a place you can categorize all the images you love. You can pin your own pictures from your blog, follow friends, follow strangers with similar tastes and get millions upon millions of ideas for your next party, wedding, home....I mean the list goes on. I totally recommend any newly engaged girl to get on this site and start exploring. It is AS addicting as Etsy. Here are a few images I loved from my friends wedding board. She gets married in March in "the big easy". My birthday came and went very quickly, but I did score a few great things from my mom. One I was very pleasantly surprised about was this Vince leather shell seen above on Olivia Palermo. I love love OP’s look, but I have been searching high and low for some more fabulous ideas. I found this spread in InStyle’s September Issue, but am still not sold exactly on how I will rock this piece all fall. I want to figure it out ASAP.

I love this combination. The pairing of a simple white blazer, striped shirt and sleek leggings is a fun and clean ensemble. September’s InStyle calls it “the No-Suit Suit”. I am on the hunt for a pair of these sleek pants and want this look now!

Falling into FALL: the cape

I feel like I was just blogging about all the things I wanted for summer...and look where we are now. Fall is almost upon us once again. However, fall is my jam. I love sweater weather. I love layering and I can't wait to blog about all the things I want this fall! There are a few investment pieces that will carry you right through this season. One staple is def the cape. I am leaning towards a black one. How great are the two black looks above? Def want to keep exploring the black cape options. Has anyone found a favorite?

I am taking a half day from work today as one of my best friends from Vermont, who lives in Spain September - May is in town. Happy Friday everyone and have a super weekend. Stay safe east coast....as a Florida girl I never thought I would be dealing with a hurricane here in NYC.

I can finally blog about my bridal shower gift. I have held off because I wanted it to be a surprise. How cool are these?! As soon as I came across them on Etsy I wanted one for MEQ! Her custom hanger says "Mrs. Dyer". I can't wait to see her wedding dress actually hang from it in a couple short months!

Can you believe how unbelievable fresh and young Ms. Monroe (then known as Norma Jeane) looks? “Brunette, nineteen-year-old, newly-signed model Norma Jeane poses for Hollywood photographer Richard C. Miller in 1946.” Her style comes full circle with tribal prints, plaid, stripes and a high waisted swimsuit. I want a swim suit like this, but am totally skeptical about pulling it off! Click here to see all the photos featured at this auction a little over a month ago.

It is finally here! After patiently waiting, seeing many bloggers share little glimpses of what was slowly being released, Target has finally revealed its entire collection of the collaboration with Missoni! Mark your calendars, September 13^th it hits stores and you can bet my bathroom is about to get a makeover! How great are these prints? I’m obsessed. I have an on going list of what I want!

I can't wait to celebrate with a great group of girls and remind MEQ all about the single life for one last night. Last stop before I head west is a little shop on Amsterdam Ave! I want a few special things for the bride to be!

Nordstrom opens NEW store

I can't wait to check out Nordstrom's new store opening downtown in Soho this Friday. Treasure & Bond is a new concept in retail and philanthropy. Nordstrom plans to donate 100% of their profits to non-profit organizations benefitting children in New York City. To learn more about the store opening check out the NYTimes article here!

I can't believe it is already that time of the year, the Vogue September Issue hits newsstands August 23rd. This year they dedicated their coveted cover to an iconic model of our generation, Kate Moss and her recent nuptials to rocker Jamie Hince. Along with this great cover story I can't wait to flip through the pages and get inspired for fall fashion, ALL 758 of them!

I have an obsession with Manicures. Could you tell? See here and here and here and here! I love changing my color every week and I think it is one of the cheapest accessories to any outfit.

This week I went with white and added me some glitter. What gives? I like to call it "The Party Nail". It's a subtle sparkle and just adds that extra flava to your everyday mani.

I think i'll keep party nailing it up through fall!

MEQ's bridal shower is fast approaching (9 days) and I am so excited! Included in her invitation was a blank recipe card where you can include "your favorite recipe so Megan can strengthen her culinary repertoire!" How cute is that? I have been going back and forth, but finally decided on one from my dad's side of the family. Who doesn't love a good Italian pasta?

I flove birthdays! Sometimes I wish I was "one of those" who is whatever about the day they were born, but the Leo in me won’t allow it. I am so excited for my birthday weekend. Birthdays are the BEST. Your birthday and New Years are pretty much the two times a year you can throw on an ALL sequins dress.

I am thinking of an oldie but goodie in my closet for my birthday. It is a black Robert Rodriguez sequin dress I got for new years a few years ago. I’ll try it on tonight for the roomies and hopefully get their approval. Otherwise, tomorrow at lunch I am storming the streets of NYC for my birthday suit! Here are a few sequin dresses I would want to splurge on. I feel if it’s your birthday, anything goes!

After work today I venture downtown to go pick up my bridesmaid dress for my bff4l October wedding. I can’t wait to have the dress in my hands because 1. Alterations will be happening! (It’s all about tailoring the dress for the BEST fit possible.) And 2. Shoes Shoes Shoes.

I hear our bride is letting us pick out any black heel and if this rumor is true you know I am about to score an AMAZE new pair of black pumps I can wear throughout the winter. Above are a few I want to try as soon as I have the dress fitted and ready!

Last Chance: Savage Beauty

This weekend (August 6, 7) will be the last for the Alexander McQueen Exhibit: Savage Beauty at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The MET will be extending special hours (open until midnight) anticipating the crowds taking advantage of their last chance to see this record breaking fashion exhibition. I am so looking forward to seeing it this weekend because I have wanted to ALL summer. My parents arrive just in time to brave the crowds with me. Be sure to catch the exhibition while you can, you don't want to miss this!
